Good point about the stop-loss and you also have simultaneous profit-taking AND tax-selling. Add to that a shaky market and poof magic, BORL is back in the high $7 range. This is all temporary, however, and expect the success of IBM and Sun to accelerate Java/CORBA technologies throughout 98. MSFT will be the big loser next year.

Could be a lot of people that jumped on the rising wave from 10 - 12. Are selling to take the loss this year then rebuy in 30 days before the next earnings.

Don't think we'll see much more bleeding because the time is about up to sell, take the loss and rebuy before next earnings.

I was referring to 30 day graph. INTC is down 7% from that and BORL down 27%.

I was trying to identify what percentage of the BORL price fall was due to the general fall in the tech sector and what percent was intrinsic i.e unexplained by a general fall.

True INTC is 30% down from its 52 week high and BORl is down about 34%
