I'm watching the weekly PSAR on the SPY very closely.. This will mark the 10th week in downtrend with 5 previous rejections (getting right up to it and then pulling back)..

Today's action has yet to indicate that it will pierce the downtrend tick line and "flip" the PSAR into uptrend.

Even if it flips, there "should" be a pull back, but at such point I would cover any shorts and either go neutral, or long..

I will add that the monthly uptrend PSAR is very shallow and not yet trending appreciably higher. Over the past 6 months it's only ascended from SPY 181 to 186.. Five points of ascent over 1/2 a year is not impressive for momentum..

And three of those months indicated good size distribution, whereas the other three months show weak accumulation.

Edit: I'm also closely watching the DXY. If it penetrates 101, it may result in an "Katy bar the door" response..

I bought a box of pencils at the dollar store today
OT: Don't you just love the dollar stores?

I buy 4 lb 8 oz (72 oz) canisters of Northern Gold Quick Grits at Family Dollar for $1/canister! :)

Remarkable!!
