Hi Tom:

My condolences. You've got a good wife there. Keep her.

I'm at a complete loss here. I relied heavily on the mean time of survival data in deciding to take a position here, and I find it incredible that that data received no mention in the decision. I guess I'm wondering whether that data was real at this point. Another thing that amazes me is that a drug with such high profile sponsorship could fall so completely flat. I mean, Geeezzze.

On the other hand, two days ago I walked into a hearing to oppose a motion in some commercial litigation, and before the Judge came in opposing counsel (two of them, both friends of mine) and I were talking off the record, and we all agreed that the odds were about 100% that I was going to lose and the motion would carry. I won. Go figure.

BTW, right about now I could go for about a fifth of single malt scotch inside that Depofoam stuff so as to stay warm and happy in sustained-level-continuous-release mode throughout the trading day tomorrow. The FDA committee's warning about the possible headache, noted.

Take care of yourself.

Regards,

John

Tom, thanks for your response and glad to hear from you. Everybody probably felt the same way you do now, although you may be most hurt since you bet 100% on Depo.

I am a little disappointed with the fact the company never mentioned 69% side effect response and the marginal results when all treated patients are included. With their first and number 1 drug crushed, I am not sure when will be the next ODAC meeting for this or next drug.

Tom or any body, can the P4 trials results re-open this case with FDA if the results are positive ?

Thanks.

Damage Control Planning:

Condolences to all who took a bath on this one. We rolled the dice on what we thought was a sure thing, and we lost. Now we have to move on and try to salvage what we can.

I hope that Tom and the other knowledgeable posters can still offer some guidance after a very tough drop. We need to consider:

1. Is depocyt dead?
2. If depocyt is dead, does it mean the platform (depofoam) is dead, or just DEPO's lead drug?
3. Depomorph appears to be the "killer app" for DEPO (the vector securities report mentions $1B to $2B theoretical market). When are we likely to have good news from the trials for this?

DEPO is down BIG TIME, so at this point if the platform is not dead, depocyt is not dead, and depomorph is still coming, we should be able to salvage more than the current $4/share.

However, at this point management looks either incompetent, dishonest, or both, making it hard to leave funds on the table under their control.

Input from all on the thread would be most appreciated.

Good luck to all, and condonlences again to everone who got burned...
