Obama, Netanyahu mark Holocaust Remembrance Day in different ways

.........................................................................................
The Hill ^ | 2015-04-16 | Jordan Fabian

Netanyahu compared today’s western leaders to those in the 1930s who negotiated with Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

Netanyahu made the comments during a ceremony marking Holocaust Remembrance Day on Wednesday.

Netanyahu said that the U.S. and its allies were rushing into a dangerous pact with Iran. . Their haste, he added, mirrored mistakes Europe made when dealing with Nazi Germany during the late 1930s and early 1940s.

“Ahead of World War II, the world attempted to appease the Nazis,” he said. “They wanted quiet at any price, and the terrible price did come.

Netanyahu added that the West had appeared “comatose” and “gripped by delusion” during its negotiations with Tehran in Lausanne, Switzerland over the last 18 months.

Their actions there recalled similar mistakes world powers made negotiating with Hitler, he added.

“The democratic states made a terrible mistake,” Netanyahu said of the Nazi era, “and they’re making a terrible mistake now.”

The Obama ‘Framework’ for Israel’s Doom

.......................................................................................................
FrontPage Magazine ^ | April 16, 2015 | Moshe Phillips and Benyamin Korn

So now it turns out that Israel’s security, perhaps its very existence, will be jeopardized in order to give Barack Obama some post-presidential bragging points.

It was recently revealed that the President intends to publicly endorse specific borders and other terms for a Palestinian state, which he hopes will go down in history as the “Obama Framework.” But it would be more truthful to call it what it is — the Palestinian Framework.

The new “Obama Framework” scheme was reported on March 30 by Jackson Diehl, deputy editorial page editor of the Washington Post, a journalist whom the Obama administration has often used to leak information it wants to float for trial balloons.

Why does Obama intend to push forward with a plan that will be rejected by Israel and lead to a crisis in Israeli-American relations? It would be a “bid by Obama for a foreign policy legacy,” Diehl writes. “At a minimum,” according to Diehl, Obama hopes that “diplomats who now talk of the ‘Clinton parameters’ from 2000 (a proposal by then-President Bill Clinton) would henceforth speak of the “Obama framework.”

So the President’s bid for a “legacy” should become Israel’s security nightmare?

Most disturbing are the specific terms that President Obama intends to embrace, as outlined by Diehl. They mirror the Palestinian position in almost every respect.

• “Palestine’s territory would be based on Israel pre-1967 borders with the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with territorial swaps to allow Israel’s annexation of some Jewish settlements.” However, it takes two sides to swap, so if the Palestinian Authority does not want to swap, there will be no swapping. Let’s call it for what it is: the pre-1967 borders.

That would leave Israel nine miles wide at its vulnerable mid-section. A Palestinian tank column would be able to cut the Jewish state in two in a matter of minutes. A study by the Joint Chiefs of Staff after the 1967 war concluded that in order to have “a militarily defensible border,” Israel would need “control of the prominent high ground running north-south through the middle of West Jordan” [i.e. most of Judea-Samaria].”

• “Jerusalem would be the capital of both nations.” Since it is physically and administratively impossible to have two countries use the same territory as their capital, there would have to be a geographical division. The Arab position has always been that the pre-1967 parts of the city should be the Arab capital–meaning the Old City section of Jerusalem (where the Temple Mount and Western Wall are located), the Mount of Olives cemetery, and the neighborhoods of Ramot, French Hill, Gilo, and Har Homa, among others.

• “A description of security arrangements would glide over the question of exactly how the West Bank and Gaza would be prevented from becoming a launching pad for attacks on Israel.”

Even when security arrangements have been spelled out, the Palestinians ignored them. Recall that the Oslo Accords required the Palestinian Authority to outlaw and disarm terrorist groups, and extradite terrorists to Israel. The PA has ignored Israel’s dozens of extradition requests and never disarmed or outlawed terror groups. The New York Times reported last year that Israeli troops had recently been forced to enter the Jenin refugee camp in pursuit of terrorists because although Jenin is under the “full control” of the PA, “the Palestinian [security forces] did not generally operate in refugee camps.” If this is how the PA has acted when security obligations are spelled out, imagine their response when “Palestine” ‘s obligations are not even put in writing.

• “The thorny question of Palestinian refugees would be dispatched with a call for an ‘agreed solution’.”

This sets up a minefield for Israel. By failing to rule out the right of the Palestinians to flood Israel with millions of “refugees,” the Palestinians will keep on demanding that right, and will threaten war if they doesn’t get their way.

• “A stipulation that Israel would remain the homeland of the Jewish people.”

Whether this stipulation will really be included in the U.N. resolution remains to be seen. If it is, it will be a meaningless gesture intended to mollify Israeli and world Jewish opposition — an attempt to get Israel to trade territory it needs to survive, for words that will be as worthless as Yasser Arafat’s 1993 pledge of “peace.”

In conclusion, Diehl conjectures that “As in the case with restoring relations with Cuba, Obama can also disregard the domestic political considerations that restrained him before he began his ‘fourth quarter’ in office.

Lesbian teacher: How I convince kids to accept gay ‘marriage’, starting at 4-years-old

lifesitenews.com ^ | 04/20/2015 | Pete Baklinski

TORONTO, April 20, 2015 -- Pam Strong,a primary grade lesbian teacher from an Ontario public school revealed in a workshop at a homosexual activist conference for teachers earlier this month how she uses her classroom to convince children as young as four to accept homosexual relationships.

“With [the principal’s] encouragement, we decided that I would go from class to class and talk about what ‘gay’ means, what does ‘LGBTQ’ mean, what do ‘I’ mean,” she told about 40 attendees, all educators, at her workshop.

Strong related that as she was reading “King and King” in the junior kindergarten class as a springboard to discuss her sexuality with the kids, she got to the part where the two princes become ‘married’ when one of the boys suddenly shouted out: “They can’t do that! They can’t get married. They’re two boys.”

Recounted Strong: “And I said, ‘Oh, yeah, yeah, they can. It’s right here on page 12.”

To which the boy replied, according to Strong: “Oh, yeah, I know Mrs. Strong, but that’s just a story. That’s not real life.”

“And I said: ‘It happens in real life too. I am married to a woman. I am gay. And I am in love with my wife.”

Montana Judge Who Was Censured Over Teen Rape Comments to Get Award
..............................................
CBS ^ 4/24/2015, A Montana judge who was censured by the state's high court for his comments about a 14-year-old rape victim has been chosen for a lifetime achievement award by his local bar association.

Yellowstone Area Bar Association President Jessica Fehr said Thursday that former state District Judge G. Todd Baugh of Billings was chosen for the award by the group's board of directors.

Baugh, 73, sparked widespread outrage in 2013 over comments suggesting that a 14-year-old girl shared some responsibility for her rape by a teacher. Baugh sentenced former teacher Stacey Rambold to just one month in prison in the case.

Baugh said during Rambold's sentencing that the teenager was "probably as much in control of the situation as the defendant" and that she "appeared older than her chronological age."

The girl's mother, Auleia Hanlon, stormed out of the courtroom yelling, "You people suck!" the Billings-Gazette reported.

After prosecutors appealed, Rambold was re-sentenced in September and is serving 10 years in Montana State Prison. Rambold is appealing the sentence. The victim had killed herself before the case went to trial.

Baugh, who served almost 30 years as a state judge, stepped down last year after being censured by the Montana Supreme Court for his comments and suspended from the bench for 31 days.

He told The Associated Press on Thursday that he didn't know who nominated him for the achievement award. He also repeated his assertion that media reports about the rape case had not told the whole story.

"I'm not trying to say I didn't make any mistakes. If you go into all the mistakes that were made, it would give a better-balanced report," Baugh said.

Fehr said Baugh had been nominated for the award by members of the bar association, but she declined to say who that was or why he was chosen.

Marian Bradley, Northwest regional director for the National Organization for Women, said the award was inappropriate given Baugh's conduct on the bench. Regardless of his prior accomplishments, Bradley said the Rambold case cannot be overlooked.

"The last chapter in his career, he put himself out there and did not protect a young girl and did not protect a community," Bradley said. "Giving him a lifetime achievement award is going to send people into tailspins."

Despite the embarrassment Baugh brought on the Montana judiciary, at least some colleagues stuck by him. In December, state District Judge Russell Fagg wrote in a column for the Billings Gazette that Baugh handled more than 30,000 cases in his career.

"He has made thousands of good calls, and a few bad calls, as have all of us," Fagg wrote. "Bottom line: Baugh is a wonderful person."

UNBELIEVABLE! Baltimore Mayor said she made sure police gave ‘space for those who wished to DESTROY’
.....................................................................................

The Right Scoop ^ | 4/26/15 | soopermexican

In what is a pretty unbelievable admission, the Mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake admitted in a press conference that she gave instructions for police to protect protesters, including “those who wished to destroy,” and to give them some space.Watch below her comment beginning at the 7:30 mark:(video at link)

Now keep in mind that Baltimore told people that they needed to stay in a ball park because they couldn’t control the protesters. SO they illegally detained law-abiding citizens in order to “give space” to those wanted to criminally destroy Baltimore.

ISIS Releases This Statement: ‘We Will Attack Texas Again, We Will Kill Christians, And...

Shoebat ^ | 5/6/2015 | Theodore Shoebat

ISIS recently released a statement boasting themselves of the attack in Garland, TX, stating their desire to kill Christians in America, and that the next attack will “be harsher and worse”. In the statement, released on Al Bayan radio, ISIS declared:

We say to the defenders of the cross, the U.S., that future attacks are going to be harsher and worse… The Islamic State soldiers will inflict harm on you with the grace of Allah. The future is just around the corner.

When ISIS references to the “nation of the Cross,” what they mean is their intent to kill Christians.

As Shoebat.com reported, that “the attack in Garland Texas was carried out by ISIS lone wolves” and today the police revealed “Elton Simpson,” reportedly one of the two gunmen responsible for the shooting in Garland, Texas, was indeed a homegrown ISIS lone wolf and a convert to Islam who in 2010 had links to ISIS.

Yet Another ‘Republican’ Betrayal on ObamaCare
..........................................................................................
American Clarion ^ | May 7, 2014 | Bob Ellis

If you live in a state like South Dakota, you’ve become used to “Republicans” selling out the Constitution, the rule of law, and the American people on ObamaCare.

We’ve seen our former governor and newly minted U.S. Senator RINO Mike Rounds, our current governor RINO Dennis Daugaard, and a host of other “Republican” leaders in state government sell us out on ObamaCare.

And we’ve seen “Republicans” in Washington D.C. sell us out on ObamaCare, with one of the biggest surrenders a couple of years ago when they had a chance to defund this unconstitutional monstrosity before it ever got rolling.

Now National Review reports our elected representatives in Washington–and not just the usual Democrat suspects–selling out the taxpayer on illegal ObamaCare subsidies to give themselves taxpayer-funded subsidies they aren’t lawfully entitled to.

The rumors began trickling in about a week before the scheduled vote on April 23: Republican leadership was quietly pushing senators to pull support for subpoenaing Congress’s fraudulent application to the District of Columbia’s health exchange — the document that facilitated Congress’s “exemption” from Obamacare by allowing lawmakers and staffers to keep their employer subsidies.

The application said Congress employed just 45 people. Names were faked; one employee was listed as “First Last,” another simply as “Congress.” To Small Business Committee chairman David Vitter, who has fought for years against the Obamacare exemption, it was clear that someone in Congress had falsified the document in order to make lawmakers and their staff eligible for taxpayer subsidies provided under the exchange for small-business employees.

You might be surprised at one of the people who has been standing in the way of getting to the bottom of this lawless betrayal of the taxpayers:

though it seems an issue tailor-made for the tea-party star and Republican presidential candidate, Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.) refused to lend his support. And when the Louisiana senator set a public vote for April 23, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his allies got involved.

“For whatever reason, leadership decided they wanted that vote to be 5–5, all Republicans, to give Senator Paul cover,” one high-ranking committee staffer tells National Review. “So they worked at a member level to change the votes of otherwise supportive senators.” Four Republicans — senators Mike Enzi, James Risch, Kelly Ayotte, and Deb Fischer — had promised to support Vitter, but that would soon change.

Senate staffers, according to a top committee aide, reported seeing Missouri senator Roy Blunt make calls to at least two Republican committee members, lobbying them, at McConnell’s behest, to vote no on subpoenaing the exchange. By the time the committee was called to quorum, Enzi, Risch, Ayotte, and Fischer voted no.

“We deserve to know who signed that application, because they are robbing taxpayers,” said Michael Cannon, Director of health-policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute.

No kidding. These fatcats work for us, the American taxpayer…or they used to, under the U.S. Constitution. But I suppose it was just too much of a hardship for these Washingtonians to shell out the cash (we’re talking about taxpayer-funded subsidies of between $5,000 and $10,000 per person) that average hard-working Americans have to come up with for themselves. But with government workers already outpacing private sector salaries, why should we start expecting government employees to stop padding themselves (at taxpayer expense) now?

It appears Rand Paul has gotten more than a little too cozy with his fellow Kentucky senator RINO Mitch McConnell. A man who once seemed to be a real conservative, his behavior over the past couple of years has looked more like a RINO than a real Republican. Fallen in with a bad crowd? Sure looks like it.

So exactly what sort of exception or loophole did these scoundrels exploit?

The White House scrambled to find a way to allow congressional employees to keep those subsidies. In Washington, D.C., only the small-business exchange allowed them to do so. After secret meetings with House speaker John Boehner in 2013, President Obama instructed the Office of Personnel Management to allow Congress to file for classification as a small business, despite the fact that the law defines a small business as having no more than 50 employees and the House and Senate together employ tens of thousands.

I know. It’s hard to believe that a dedicated, selfless hardcore conservative like John Boehner would join with Barack Obama and other liberals to sell out the taxpayer and the rule of law this way (sorry, had to go puke after using the word “conservative” in conjunction with the name “John Boeher”, I’m okay now), but it’s true.

These guys actually have the audacity to claim that a workforce of 2 million (that’s about how many people work for the federal government) qualifies as a “small business.” I wonder if they’d allow a free market business with 75 employees to claim that 25 of them actually work for another company, so they don’t have to play by the same rules imposed on everybody else.

When will the American people wake up and stop empowering these liberal enemies of the American people–regardless of the letter after their name–to sell out their freedoms and their prosperity? Obviously it didn’t happen last year; too many conservatives were too desperate to elect “anything but a Democrat” to congress based on the lies from these fake Republicans that they would, contrary to their records, actually behave like Republicans if we sent them to Washington.

America is about done for, thanks to liberals from both parties, and American voters who are too naive or too lazy to insist on better than absolute crap-candidates. It may be too late to avert this impending national train wreck, but if it isn’t, will this kind of duplicity finally be enough to fire up Americans enough to get them to throw these self-centered nest-featherers out?

I’ve seen jihad up-close, in an Iraqi province where jihadists put bombs in little boys’ backpacks then remotely detonated them at family gatherings, where they beheaded innocent civilians while cheering wildly like they were at a soccer match, and where they shot babies in the face to “send a message” to their parents. I’ve seen the despair in the eyes of the innocent victims of jihad, and — believe me — that despair is infinitely greater than the alleged “anguish” caused by a few cartoons.

Pamela Geller’s Critics Are Proving Her Point

.................................................................................
by David French May 7, 2015 1:56 PM

Let’s be clear: The great freak-out over Pamela Geller’s “draw Muhammad” contest isn’t about love for Islam or for robust and respectful religious pluralism. Indeed, many of those expressing anguish over blasphemy against Islam show no such concern over even the most vile attacks on the Christian faith. Beyond that, they’re among the leaders in movements designed to banish religious liberty — including Muslim religious liberty — to the margins of American life.

Instead, the fury against Pamela Geller is motivated mostly by fear — by the understanding that there are indeed many, many Muslims who believe that blasphemy should be punished with death, and who put that belief into practice. It’s motivated by the fear that our alliances with even “friendly” Muslim states and “allied” Muslim militias are so fragile that something so insignificant as a cartoon would drive them either to neutrality or straight into the arms of ISIS.

That’s why even the military brass will do something so unusual as call a fringe pastor of a tiny little church to beg him not to post a YouTube video. That’s why the president of the United States — ostensibly the most powerful man in the world — will personally appeal to that same pastor not to burn a Koran. They know that hundreds of millions of Muslims are not “moderate” by any reasonable definition of that word, and they will,in fact, allow themselves to be provoked by even the most insignificant and small-scale act of religious satire or defiance. After all, there are Muslim communities that will gladly burn Christians alive to punish even rumored blasphemy.

Our nation’s “elite” knows of the 88 percent support in Egypt for the death penalty for apostasy, and the 62 percent support in Pakistan. They know of the majority support for it in Malaysia, Jordan, and the Palestinian territories. They know that even when there’s not majority support for the death penalty for exercising one of the most basic of human rights — religious freedom — that large minorities still exercise considerable, and often violent, influence on their nations. The elite also knows this bloodthirstiness extends to supporting terrorists. The following Pew Research Center numbers should sober anyone who believes in the “few extremists” model of Muslim culture:

..................

That's a staggering level of support for a man who not only targeted innocent men, women, and children in the west but who allied himself with the most medieval Muslim regime in the world: the Taliban. And, ominously, his support waned only as his power waned. Islamists have a new jihadist idol - ISIS.
