jim what maria said was true...
but, the fact that the exchange rates in asia help dell is no guess work , it drastically helps Dell....
But, we need to separate the FACT it helps dell with what the price of dell will do...

Just put in the US$ and plot it against the Ajpanese yen..
you will see that this happened last jan-april of 1997..
the result was massive extra profit for dell and cpq.
This exchange rate thing has happened before ..many times..
