No doubt impaired intangibles has fueled the M&A increase of late as well.

Well, ... for a company that hasn't made a cent of profit in the last 6 years and is currently technically insolvent, with Total Liabilities exceeding Total Assets (which has been the case for the last 4 years), I guess "tax credits" is about the only attraction for someone who likely intends to buy and liquidate it.
