><>...Hi Carol, how have you been doing?...><>

Carole scripture tells us that Christ will return when the 7th trumpet sounds.

1 Cor 15:51-52
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

This lasrt trump that Paul speaks of is the 7th trumpet, the last one.!

He also speaks of it in 1 Thess.4:14-18
Paul is comforting the Thessalonians in their sorrows because they are concerned about their loved ones who are already dead. They feared that on the return of Jesus, somehow because those people were already dead, that they would miss out on Jesus's return.

But Paul is assuring them that they will not miss it!
1Thes 4:13
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

What Paul has told them was that, those who are already dead are already with the Lord and will infact return with Him and that we who are alive shall not prevent them which are asleep.

prevent,#5348 phthano, Grk. = to precede

We cannot precede them because they are already with the Lord.!
This is further witnessed by Jude.
Jude 1:14
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Talk to you later my friend
Shalom...><>

"Do you have any thoughts on the significance of the Seventh Trumpet in this age of the information superhighway, which moves almost too fast for coherent thought of any kind."

Carol,

The information superhighway is a product of science. Coherent thought is always possible. The Seventh Trumpet is a symbol of hope, or of destruction, depending on whether one is one of us or one of them.
