Defrocked,

If the S&P futures are down to 900 tonight does that mean the S&P will be down tomorrow in correlation.

Jodi

Jodi:

Defrocked points out the difference between SPX which is referred to the cash index, like the OEX or the DJIA. The SP Z8 is the March futures contract on that index. Futures contracts may be referred to by their month (H=March, M=June, U=Sep, Z=Dec) and the numeral after the month refers to the year (8=1998). We just switched over from the December contract SP Z7, to the March contract SP H8.

Hope this further clarifies it for you. (Defrocked, sorry I meant to respond to Jodi's post but responded to yours instead).

Jack
