It is only recently that idiots have begun to see the tax code as the great equalizer. That was never the point of it.

The tax code was designed to raise revenue fairly. Not to penalize people for their success.

Probably. Productive in this case means producing something else someone will pay for. Snoop as sold millions of records. Paris is apparently less successful, but The Simple Life for a time had high ratings (and she's done other shows since), and she's apparently sold hundreds of thousands of albums (maybe millions all together, Snoop has done millions per album).

I don't know the details of their taxes, but very wealth people typically pay more in taxes not less.
