Chinu<<<full baseball team sized field of opponents.>>>

How dare you insult baseball. ;-)

Great to hear that Netflix is bringing call centers back here...the cost of living, though, ouch. I'm stunned at the rental rate hikes in just the last 2 years...

Income disparity and its consequences are unfolding right here in the Bay Area(as you well know).....

Long-time renters in neighborhoods in SF being evicted to make room for the tech boom 6+figure incomes. It's devastating to witness, frankly....

Which takes me to another point----this is not new and has been discussed on these(D) threads---it's educating our youngsters so that they can compete for tech/science jobs that are right here...Underserved/educated kids in the area don't stand a chance....it's why I loved Barack's community college program. I've lost track of what happened to it...

Truth is, Chinu, you know this as well as I do, that our country is so polarized that unless the R candidate makes some huge, huge blunder, it will still be hard for either candidate to get more than 51%.

I feel more entrenched now than 8 years ago. The R congress'(and their puppeteers) behavior toward Barack and by extension, our country, has left me more angry with them, less patient to hear their side of the story. It's sad. But true. Listening to robotic-ly recited talking points taken from Faux News and Rush Limbaugh and ilk is not how I want to spend my time...

Also, in the last 8 years, study after study has come out concluding that giving someone facts that undermines their already entrenched view---only serves to make them dig even deeper into said mis-informed view.

Goes both ways, for sure.....And which is why we D's, liberals, too, have to be open to the facts as they are and not as we want them to be....tough work staying honest with oneself and others.
