Look, there can obviously be strange genetic circumstances that bring on various gender identity problems. And over time, if those things develop they can be addressed.

I am far more concerned about the possibility a parent might press a child with an ultra liberal, self absorbed view point. Just as I would be worried about parents who, as ultra conservative religious fanatics would choose to withhold medical treatment that was obviously necessary.

People have to try to find the middle of the road. Changing a child's gender is NEVER "middle of the road."

Anorexia is hard on parents too. All body dysmorphisms are.

Doesn't mean we should give steroids and growth hormones to scrawny boys or nose jobs to every girl who thinks her nose is too big.
