Trinity Industries Inc. (TRN) - started small position @ $28.83/share
Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. (SNI)- Watching for possible starter position
Discovery Communications, Inc. (DISCA) - closed out for small gain

Started small position in TRN at $28.83/share. Closed out my DISCA for a small gain and put those proceeds into TRN.

FWIW also looking at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. (SNI) to replace DISCA as they pay a dividend and have a lower PE than DISCA. The forward PE for SNI is 14.89.

I like the media content sector but it is difficult to find smaller 'pure' growth/value plays. Looking back 10 years, the play was holding DIS and their ESPN franchise. I was surprised to see DIS selling over $109.00/share.

Re TRN

I have briefly looked at their reported earnings and the company forcast. Based on that, stock selling at 6 PE. I still need to go through the conference call to see what is spooking the market
Seems simple:4865 railcar orders received and 8710 delivered means that the book/bill is ~0.56. The backlog will only last that long...

I agree with you - something seems to be a miss here. Wish i was smart enough or had the patience on the forensic accounting side.

I have been looking at this stock for months now - first heard about it from a former famous short seller who is actually long - some of you old folks might have heard of him Scott Fearon (also wrote dead companies walking).

He seems overly optimistic for some reason and keeps mentioning jim cramer - any mention of cramer gets me queasy

EKS agree with you on the Graham No. and a few others metrics extremely cheap considering the secular shift in the supply of oil regardless of price.
