Couple of free hard drive imaging programs and images are very helpful when you need them. I use Acronis, but these should also work. For those that are not familiar with partition and hard drive images, it is where an entire partition or hard drive is compressed into a single file. It's a similar concept as a zip file only on a larger scale.

Note: An image file has to saved on a different partition than a partition it is intended to restore.
