Sorry. I should have said "that was about 47%". It was 46.4% in 2011, which were the latest available figures in 2012. It was 47% in 2009. So his numbers for that were at least ballpark.

And yes, the numbers have been dropping as the economy improves. And will continue now that wages are starting to creep up.


No worries. I just wanted to make the point that the number isn't fixed and that when people can get jobs, they will pay taxes which is counter to Romney's implication...........people are lazy and like being on the dole.
