Valerie Jarrett in 'Regular Contact' With Baltimore Mayor
...............................................................................................

Don't worry, Valerie Jarrett is in "regular contact" with the mayor of Baltimore, the White House announced late Tuesday night.

"Jarrett also remained in regular contact with Mayor Rawlings Blake (Baltimore, MD) and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan," an unnamed White House spokesman told the media.

Jarrett, along with Attorney General Loretta Lynch, held a conference call on the ongoing situation in Baltimore earlier Tuesday.

"Earlier today, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett hosted a conference call with over 50 local leaders from across the country including Mayors Michael Nutter (Philadelphia, PA), Tom Barrett (Milwaukee, WI), Karen Freeman-Wilson (Gary, IN), and Chairman John Eaves (Fulton County, GA)," said the White House.

"During the call, Jarrett noted that her thoughts were with the family of Freddie Gray and expressed appreciation for the heroic efforts of police officers, fire fighters and community leaders joining their fellow Baltimore residents who are helping to clean up the debris and property destruction.

"She also highlighted the 21st Century Policing Task Force’s constructive recommendations that, if adopted by local law enforcement agencies across the country, would enhance community trust – including recommendations for providing training on bias, properly implementing body-worn camera programs, conducting independent investigations of fatalities,
and promoting officer safety and wellness. The Attorney General spoke about DOJ efforts to award grants to local police departments in ways that encourage adoption of the Task Force recommendations.

"The Attorney General
also noted that the Department of Justice has opened an investigation in Baltimore and is working with local enforcement, and emphasized that she looks forward to strengthening the partnership that local officials have with the Department of Justice. The two pledged to stay in touch and keep them updated on the ongoing situation in Baltimore."

Georgetown Professor Calls on Baltimore to Violently Riot ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Pundit Press ^ | 4/29/15 | Aurelius

Preston Mitchum, an adjunct professor at Georgetown and contributor to the Huffington Post and the Atlantic, incited rioters over the last few days, saying that protesters must “go forth with your righteous indignation.”

He also has shown a clear disdain of people’s lives and property, writing that rioters have no other option than to attack their “oppressors.”

Mitchum seemed to go as far as telling protesters to destroy property, first saying that he doesn’t care about people’s homes and businesses:

Then he tells rioters to “go forth with your righteous indignation:”

And then says that burning down a CVS is okay:

Twice:

Not only that, but violence and rioting is okay because people are being oppressed:

Further, if you believe that nonviolence works, then you don’t understand life and you don’t understand Martin Luther King, Jr:

Ted Cruz: Obama Inflamed Race Tensions, Vilifying Cops ‘Fundamentally Wrong’
..................................................................
Breitbart ^ | 2015-04-29 | Breitbart News

WASHINGTON — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday blamed President Barack Obama for the racial tensions and unrest unrolling across the U.S., including the current turmoil in Baltimore, Maryland.

“President Obama, when he was elected, he could have been a unifying leader,” Cruz lamented in a question and answer session hosted by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Instead, the presidential candidate argued, Obama “has made decisions that I think have inflamed racial tensions, that have divided us rather than bringing us tougher.”

As evidence of Obama’s poor record on the matter, Cruz pointed to vice president Joe Biden’s comments during the 2012 campaign, in which Biden claimed Republicans would put African-Americans “back in chains.” Pressed by reporters at the Chamber of Commerce event to name a specific case where the president inflamed racial tensions, Cruz cited the 2011 “ beer summit,” in which Obama invited black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. to have a beer at the White House with white police Sgt. James Crowley, who had arrested Gates at his home.
