For me, an equal opportunity opponent of religion (because of its divisive and bigoted qualities), I find it fine that the French do this. They do it to all religions. "But her long skirt was deemed a "provocation," and potential act of protest." Yeah. Sure. It's a middle finger to the French. Be religious. Do it at home- no matter what religion you belong to. I'm less and less sensitive to religion. It sucks. There are religious bigots today trying to convince the Supreme Court that because we've always been bigoted, and because there is a tradition of bigotry (and because this tradition is based on a powerful invisible friend) - other real people in society should be denied rights. That is crap. Viva La France. Down with religion.

Lucky France. It's their right to do this- they don't have a stupid constitution like we do, which makes us tolerate every nutty religion out there- including the old established nuts.
