I think part of the Asia factor that is so hard to quantify is the impact of it's failure on the European market that has it's purchasing capability decreased to the extent that they themselves have an Asia related exposure.

So you not only need to analyze the Asian market, but also the portion of the European markets that has some percentage of thier consumption of DEC product committed to support an Asian based demand of thier own which one has to assume is shrinking.

I think it will be mid-98 before anyone really has a handle on what is going on globally. If you're long DEC, maybe it's not so bad, and there may be some excellent opportunities to increase shares. The only risk I can see is that of erosion of thier technological edge.

Just thinking out loud.
