Sgt. Lennardo Bailey told the “Eastern Command Staff” [

“I have been to five calls today and three of those five calls for service; I have been challenged to a fight. Some of them I blew off but one of them almost got ugly. I don’t want anybody to say that I did not tell them what is going on. This is no intel this is really what’s going on the street. This is my formal notification. It is about to get ugly.”

"The Congressional Black Caucus applauds the swift and decisive actions by the Baltimore City State's Attorney in conducting a thorough and independent investigation of the events surrounding the death of Freddie Gray," U.S. Rep. G. K. Butterfield, a Democrat who represents North Carolina and who serves as chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, said in a statement.

"This is the first of many steps to begin the process of mending the fractured relationship between law enforcement and the people of the City of Baltimore," he said.

On Twitter, the praise was just as loud. "Ever city needs a Marilyn Mosby!!" wrote one person. "Marilyn Mosby was unwavering as she stepped into the national spotlight. She means business." Others predicted she would be the next mayor of Baltimore, while another said, "Police need to be policed. Thank God for Mosby and her integrity."

Baltimore Gangbanger to Toure: We Made Ties with ‘Political Officials’ in City

NewsBusters ^ | April 29, 2015 | 5:04 PM EDT | Ken Shepherd

Bloods member Nikko Caldwell insisted in an interview with MSNBC’s Toure that the gang’s truce with their rivals the Crips would continue indefinitely because they have made the right ties with certain “political officials” in the city. The Cycle co-host completely dropped the ball after such a shocking admission, however, when he failed to ask Caldwell to name names. What’s more, when Pastor Donte Hickman insisted that tapping the “natural power and influence” of gangs like the Bloods and the Crips was “the democratic way,” Toure seemed completely unfazed. …

Sheriff Clarke: Charge against cops a 'miscarriage of justice'

.......................................................................

The Daily Caller ^ | 5-1-15 | Alex Griswold

In an interview Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke dismissed the charges against six Baltimore police officers in the death of African-American man Freddie Grey as “political justice” and “a miscarriage of justice.”

CLARKE: It’s a miscarriage of justice. This neophyte prosecutor stood up there and made a political statement, Neil, and I say that because she chanting or voicing some of the chants from this angry mob. Her job is to tune that out. She said,‘I hear the voices.’ She is not supposed to hear anything as she reviews this case...

She is basically saying to the rioters, I will charge all six police officers to appease you. I wonder if the Obama administration is sending her the instructions for each communication. After Al Sharpton phoned his instructions in to Obama and Lynch.

One of the most disgusting things I’ve seen with this whole affair is the video of the mayor of Baltimore dutifully following Al Sharpton down the hallway and letting him speak for her to all the reporters’ questions. She had the “deer in the headlights” look on her face and kept looking to Sharpton to cover for her. It’s so nice to have Reverand Al in charge of policy in the city of Baltimore.

Alan Dershowitz believes its unlikely that any of them will be convicted simply because Mosby wildly overcharged them.
