5/8/15 Contest update

I’m not surprised biotech shorts got nervous when a rested Bulba returned from Portugal ready to rumble. And, clearly, they were in full panic by week’s end.
So, by Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 19.53% YTD (vs. up 18.18% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 15.95% YTD (vs. up 13.24% YTD a week ago), while the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index was up 20.01% YTD (vs. up 14.34% YTD a week ago). But, essentially unchanged for the week, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 5.65% YTD (vs. up 5.69% YTD a week ago).
Boosted by a 20% BLUE allocation, IMAN’s portfolio, up 59.02% YTD, vaulted from 6th place into the Contest top spot. DEWDIL’s portfolio, up 56.03% YTD, moved into second place and MCBIO’s portfolio, up 54.00% YTD, fell to third place.
At Friday's close, 47 of the 51 Contest portfolios remained in the black with 32 beating the NBI and 24 beating the hot SPSIBI. The 206 Contest stock picks have an average YTD gain of 14.88%.
Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the week’s Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks. (Prices not converted to US$ in these Tables.)
Portfolio adjustments: None.
(All corrections, especially adjustments for buyouts & splits, greatly appreciated.)
Have a safe and relaxing weekend biotechies!
Peace & good health,
Bulba
