Your assumption is not right at all. Just look at F, GM, C, ko, and those oil companie, they are all single product companies, and check their PEs. The growth of those companies are tied to the growth of population, and no more explosive growth. The reason a company enjoys a high PE is because it is in a major industry of the centry and is expect to continue its high growth in the future . The Information technology will be the major and fast growing industry next century, and CPQ is in that industry, so it will enjoy a even higher PE in the year to come once the way is paved. I think you are either do not understand the stock market or you are a bear on CPQ just trying to talk down the stock or trying to frighten the small investors. People in the know will never take your words seriously !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
