Steve, aren't the lessons in of themselves very interesting (aside from the fact that usually real dollars are involved). My problem is that I'm mostly playing with OPM and I feel very badly when the experiment goes astray. I can not tell you how entertained I was to see your focus on F/A, as I would never have guessed it. I really thought you mostly into the candles! So what is your opinion of TRV and AXP as you know the effort expended. I posted a message earlier this week that I thought said it all. We either learn from our mistakes or we are doomed to repeat them. I Believe that to err is human, do it again and its a mistake. The weekly's sure seem to tell the story of the trend. I've simply decided to allow the trend to be my friend and keep my emotions out of the equation. By May, I hope to learn enough to be able to do all this for real. I think I'm close! As I look at the Model Portfolio I posted earlier it is interesting to me (after a month) what is holding the portfolio together -- the brokerage stocks. It always seems like there is a different theme in the Market. Recognize it or parish! Lately, it's been regional banks and brokerage firms -- a specialty financial area. In other words, at this point do you choose the TRV's and AXP's of the world or the companies that are more likely to be gobbled up? It's the same theme, just a different industry. We have equal respect for Bill, yet he dismisses FA with a wave. I'm not willing to concede. Haven't gone shopping for books yet and before I spend the dollars and time -- do you believe the investment in candlepower makes sense? A lot -- I know! But, I value your opinions or I would not bother. Enjoy your trip to the USA. What do you miss the most? Having walked across the Grand Canyon and watched Old Faithful go off on several occassions, I know that this country has incredible beauty. I can see some real advantages to not being here (to say the least in the tax area) but will have to wait three years until my youngest (and joy of my life) is out of high school. Berney
