I'm terribly sorry for your loss.....

Your idea is a good one as far as Medicare becoming a plaintiff, although
I'm sure our clowngress would never let that happen.

Back in 2000 my father passed from an anuerysm, the hospital did all they could
do, but from what I understand, it was never going to be likely that he would
survive the surgey, but they did it anyway...of course it was all covered, Medicare
and supplemental.....While talking to hospital staff I found out this hospital in
Florida was the place all South Americans came to have surgery, then say thank
you and go back home....good luck in collecting.

Also I've seen emergency rooms in the Chicago burbs with gurney's lining the hallways
with the elderly, all on ventilators. It has to be quite profitable to keep people alive,
regardless of the quality of life, even granting that that might not always be the case.

I would like to see, know have some accountability of how Medicare is managed...
There is no excuse for a $32 piece of equipment in the medical field to fail.....
