As I understand it, a proper deep fryer at the right temperature does its work with little oil being picked up by what is being fried. And there are several alternatives to true deep frying:
- air frying in one of those new air-fryers example ;
- fry in a coated pan with little or no oil - probably work better than an air fryer which would probably have a huge clean-up needed.
