My point was and is that SW cannot be discounted when it is the one making money. And frankly, they have done so on the basis of an innovative business model, which is something I attribute a lot of significance to. It is not surprising that you don't see profitability as an important metric. But the reality is that requiring profitability imposes a constraint on SW the others pretty much ignore. Which is strange to me. Straw man ! I never said I don't see profitability as an important metric. What I said was that profitability does not determine which are the major airline carriers in this country.
