Bob,
Gosh, only five shopping days until Christmas. No wasn't me that bought that large lot, I've always said I would sit tight with current holdings until Xoma broke $9 and then I would hock the house, car, wife, and kids :-)). Finally got my new database update program on line and database updated, Xoma has slipped outside of its regression channel. Not especially important because it has slipped sideways out of the channel. Whole market is getting whacked. DOW and NASDAQ are still in a technical downtrend.

Local markets fell following the election of opposition leader in South Korea. I guess there are concerns that he will not go through with the IMF bailout proposal. Not helping matters was another major bankruptcy here in Japan. S. Korea lost 5.1%, Japan -5.24%, and Hong Kong -3.24%. Dow looks like it might open -100. Think I will take a nap and survey the inevitable damage on Saturday.

In the as the world turns department, we admitted my son to the hospital on Monday (JST) and they have been administering Roche's Rocephinr (ceftriaxone) via IV. He is really skinny, and was a bit dehydrated, so the only vein they could get the IV into was in his foot. Wife and I have been working overtime trying to keep a 1 year old "pacified." I think we will be able to bring him home tomorrow.

All,

The kids were going nuts this a.m. but I thought i heard CNBC
say that a drug by CHIRON was rejected by an FDA panel and that
it was for some sort of menningitis. They mentioned another
company as being either a partner or co-developer, but i couldn't
here all of it.

No mention of XOMA at all. Anybody have better info
(or quieter kids)?

J
