Thanks for grony once again proving Democrats hate God.

Our founding fathers said mankind are "Endowed by their creator with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." More than half of the men who signed the Declaration and wrote the Constitution were educated in Bible colleges or seminaries. Of the 55 men who worked on the Constitution, 52 were evangelical Christians.

"there are no god given rights cuz there is no god."

The founders of your country based their entire Nation on the self evident fact that there is a God who bestows rights on all men equally.

While there is a very strong argument against the existence of God, insisting it as have such serious intellects as Hitchens and Hawking, seems silly to me. I would no more make such an argument to believers than I would stand by as door knocking holy rollers try to enroll me in their ways of thinking.

I say leave people to believe what they choose to believe until such time as you can prove your points. Hawking and Hitchens are/were bright but they have not proved that point yet.

During the rise of Darwinism during the 1800s, William F. Buckley, Jr. tells in one of his books of a Yale academic who was asked, "How can you still believe in God?" He answered, “I find it easier to believe in God than to believe that Hamlet was deduced from the molecular structure of a mutton chop.”
