I think if you look back at my posted from 2007/08, you'll see that I thought he was just a slick talking empty suit, that he had no meaningful accomplishment to his credit, that it would be "on the job" training, and that if elected, it would be tragic for the first black president to be an abject failure, because I believed it would set race relations back.

If that makes me a racist so be it. I would say it makes me pretty close to being right.

It is a tragedy. If we'd had someone like Carson or Condi Rice, it would have shown the world that a black president can be just as competent, even more, than an old white guy. It could have been an example for blacks all over the country. Instead, young blacks got a lesson in how to be a disengaged, arrogant slacker. Not exactly the example you want.
