LEE COUNTY HOME PRICES ON THE UPSWING?The median sale price of single-family homes in Lee County increased in May to $217,250, an 11.4 percent jump over May 2014, according to data released from Florida Realtors. The median sale price for condos in Lee County increased $190,000 in May, 11.8 percent over the same period last year. Closed sales last month in the $400,000-$599,999 price range increased 25 percent over May of last year. Single-family homes spent 40 median days on the market in May, a decrease of 11.1 percent from the same month in 2014.



BONITA-ESTERO HOUSING MARKET ON THE RISE? Single-family home sales in May units increased 14.9 percent compared with May 2014, according to Bonita Springs-Estero Association of Realtors. The average sale price last month went up 17 percent compared with May of 2014. The median days on market in May decreased by 48.1 percent compared with May 2014—a 25-day drop. The month’s supply of inventory increased by 19.6 percent compared with May 2014.

NAPLES AREA POSTS INCREASE IN $300-$500K HOUSING MARKET? According to a report released by the Naples Area Board of Realtors, activity for May in the $300,000 to $50,000 price category of the housing market experienced a 30 percent month-over-month increase in overall closed sales, from 181 homes in May 2014 to 236 homes in May 2015. Closed sales for single-family homes in the aforementioned category increased 25 percent from 102 single-family homes in May 2014 to 127 single-family homes in May 2015. FORECLOSURE ACTIONS DOWN FOR MONTH IN LEE, COLLIER
? According to a May 2015 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report by RealtyTrac, foreclosure activity decreased in Lee County to 603 housing units, down 15.19 percent (711 units) from April, but up 9.24 percent (552 units) from May 2014. Collier County foreclosure activity totaled 179 housing units, down 8.21 percent (195 units) from April, but up 29.71 percent (138 units) from May 2014. Florida was among 38 states to report a year-over-year increase in real estate owned properties (up 63 percent).
