It may be little consolation but most of the beaten down tech stocks, including Quantum, are doing very well in the face of a market that is sharply down.

The short-term indicators have turned positive: marketgauge.com

I think the doom and gloom is overdone and with interest rates being very low, healthy US and European economies, my guess is that we will see a move up once the market comes back from the hollidays.

Its still likely to be a rocky road for the DD mfgs. and other battered sectors.

Looks like QNTM holds pretty good. I guess the selling has been done, and now only a lot of small investors day-trade the stock. So both swing and volumn is sort of low.
Good luck.

I would agree with you as it relates to DLT. It also appears to me that those who wait for the Distribution channel to clear in the DD sector will be buying this stock above it's current range. Perhaps with the "Beta" that surrounds the DD sector and to a "DLT buffered" extent QNTM, It is wise to let the chop settle before your entry point if not yet involved. Of course in my case, I am very long and getting quite a bit longer given my personal conviction about the company. Just not very talented at picking the bottom.
