it makes total sense for the Paki ISI to back pedal. They have much to lose if they admit they were holding OBL as a prisoner on ice waiting for the USA to stage a "raid", i.e. cold blooded murder.

But there was an election coming up and they wanted it to look good.

Totally consistent with the Benghazi tale about the video as well. Everything this administration does is about "Optics."
