Gene the victim - I am surprised to learn that black people live more than 400 years. That is the only way the past 400 years of abuse could be FRESH in their mind as you say it is. Oh wait, unless there is someone constantly reminding them of what happened to their great great grandparents. Someone constantly telling the black population that they are victims and can never succeed because the white man is keeping them down. You know who I am talking about. The black leaders who make a living off the victimization of the black population. Plus the white elitist who keep the black population dependant on them and buy the black population for their vote so they can stay in power. Well boo hoo Gene. Why don't you just cry me a river. You poor mistreated fella, if there has ever been a victim it is you. You and every other black man can just set there and give up or get real mad and burn your town down. OR you can get up and believe you can accomplish as much as anyone else. Believe you are as good as anyone else. Remember James Brown's song. "Don't want nobody to give me nothin. Just open the door, and I'll get it myself." I am telling you that the door is open. I know it is because many, many have walked through it. If the door is closed where you are, leave there. If you cannot find an opportunity where you are, go somewhere else. If this man tells you ,NO, ask somebody else. Every man, black or white, has to take responsibility for himself. What you demand of yourself and life will be rewarded. You can do it. That is what the black population needs to be told. You have to believe it. Till you do you will never make it.
