The latest I've seen for Austin was 3.3% in March:

bls.gov

But I wasn't talking unemployment rates.

Austin really doesn't have to deal much with this sort of stuff, either.

I wish I thought I could (a) work for someone, which I haven't done in decades, and (b) find a job doing iOS development on a good project. I think Austin has a lot of demand, but I don't think they like to hire old people; I would really like to do a couple of challenging projects before I cut back. The one I'm finishing up has been challenging but mostly because it was a lot of code. I've got one more I'm planning to do before year end and that's it.

I just don't know about Austin. We're talking about moving back to TX but it seems like a lot of hassle.
