I have no idea what you are talking about in your post. I was referring to the closed markets which exist in SEA and exclude many U.S. firms from fair competition. In no way was I referring to the stock market in any way.

BTW, their markets have languished for a # of years(Nikkei from ~36,000 to current ~16,000) and I believe that if fair and open competition existed in countries like Japan you would see prices come down on virtually all products and Japan probably would not be in their seventh year of recession. Consumers could buy more since 10,000 Yen would have additional buying power. They are one of the richest nations on earth, yet have been languising as of late. This is one of the major reasons why. They need deregulation and open markets in a BIG WAY. Only when they elect leaders who realize this will they prosper.
