He is making some very specific claims. Which is very different from what others believe. Now true, Telsa does depend on those tax credits. But most seem to feel not to the extent where they lose $18k a car. In fact, it is generally believed that they would still post a small profit without them.

So if he truly believes they lose that much, he should short, and short hard. That is a pretty big gap to fill.
