Smartest President Ever Says Weaponized Chlorine Is Not a Chemical Weapon

PJ Media
by Stephen Kruiser
May 14, 2015 - 4:20 pm

[Too short to excerpt]

Here is some video of the press conference (complete with a classic Obama snippy reply to a reporter).

Here is a tweet from a reporter quoting him if you don’t want to watch the video:

Quote

It’s not just me who finds this odd, noted Right Wing Nutjob organization the United Nations says that, yes, chlorine kinda always has been a chemical weapon.

The modern use of chemical weapons began with World War I, when both sides to the conflict used poisonous gas to inflict agonizing suffering and to cause significant battlefield casualties. Such weapons basically consisted of well known commercial chemicals put into standard munitions such as grenades and artillery shells. Chlorine, phosgene (a choking agent) and mustard gas (which inflicts painful burns on the skin) were among the chemicals used. The results were indiscriminate and often devastating. Nearly 100,000 deaths resulted.
Since World War I, chemical weapons have caused more than one million casualties globally.

It’s more than likely that everyone around him is buying into his arbitrary classification. Remember, this is the guy who makes up job numbers and thinks the economy is booming along and doesn’t get asked a lot about any of it.

What I’m wondering here is if he has any plans in the near future to redefine what “nuclear weapon” means.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee
declared a statewide drought emergency on Friday,
saying drought conditions caused by a lack of snowpack
are the most serious in over a decade. In an announcement in the capital,

Olympia, Inslee said the drought had "deepened dramatically in the past few weeks,"

with conditions expected to worsen as the hot summer months approached.

Though rain totals were equivalent to prior years,

snowpack levels were only 24 percent of average, Inslee said.

"What we lack is snow," he said. "We are calling it a snowpack drought."

Ted,
I see.........its not offensive when you all call Obama the affirmative action president but when a similar label is placed on one of your candidates, you all get into a snit.
If you had constrained your "affirmative action" snipe to politics, then I would have no problem with it. In fact, I do agree that Ben Carson is being held up as a "token black guy" for the GOP. (For that matter, Carly Fiorina is also running as the GOP "token female candidate.")

But when you start accusing him of cheating on his medical credentials because you think he's another Sarah Palin, you have taken off the gloves.

You don't know jack about what medical professionals have to go through. Just because you're black, or Hispanic, or whatever, doesn't mean you get a free pass because the medical profession can't afford to give them out. If someone messes up, people die, plain and simple.

This is not the same as the Democrats getting their token black president, or the Republicans getting their token female running mate. In politics, it's a popularity contest, and image is everything. Unfortunately race and gender have become part of that image, and it seems the Republicans are stooping to the same level the Democrats are.

But when you say that Ben Carson became a surgeon only because of affirmative action, THAT'S when I have to tell you to go fuck yourself, because you are clearly basing that conclusion on the fact that he's a black Republican. What, you think accomplished black people have to be Democrats? You think Republicans are so stupid that any minority who's accomplished and successful must have been the beneficiary of affirmative action?

Seriously, go fuck yourself, you complete and utter loser.

Tenchusatsu

P.S. - This is perhaps the main reason why I'm against affirmative action. You have the TeJERKs of this world telling you that you didn't get there on your own merit, that instead you got help from the white guys in charge.

Carson, unlike Obama, has a record of achievement outside of politics.

Obama didn't have a distinguished career in law. Carson HAS had a renowned career in medicine.

Look up conjoined twins and hemisphorectomy and notice how his name keeps coming up:

Ladan and Laleh Bijani, who were separated at age 29, only to die 90 minutes apart after surgery. (With Ben Carson)

  • Ahmed and Mohamed Ibrahim who were born in Egypt. They were successfully separated at age 2 years, 4 months in October 2001 in Dallas, Texas. [11]
  • Anastasia and Tatiana Dogaru, who were born with the crown of Tatiana's head joined to the back of Anastasia's. Doctors determined in 2007 that they could not be separated. [12]
  • Krista and Tatiana Hogan, born on October 25, 2006. After a series of tests doctors also determined these twins could also not be separated.
  • Joseph and Luka Banda from Zambia, born 1997, were separated successfully that year in South Africa by a team of surgeons led by Ben Carson.
  • Johann and Stefan Rausch from Ulm, Germany were separated successfully at Johns Hopkins Children's Center by a team of surgeons led by Ben Carson.
  • Stefan and Tyler Delp, both connected at the crown. At age 3, doctors determined that it was too risky for them to be separated. [13]
  • Ganga and Jamuna Shreshta, born in Kathmandu, Nepal, successfully separated by Dr. Chumpon Chan and his team from the Singapore General Hospital.
  • ..........
Carson figured in the revival of the hemispherectomy, a drastic surgical procedure in which part or all of one hemisphere of the brain is removed to control severe pediatric epilepsy. He refined the procedure in the 1980s, encouraged by John M. Freeman, [20] and performed it many times.
    ..................
The procedure was revitalized in children in the 1980s by Dr. Ben Carson at Johns Hopkins Hospital
    ..............
Ben Carson revolutionized his field in several areas, including hemispherectomies (removal of half of the brain to prevent untreatable severe seizures, such as those caused by Rasmussen's encephalitis). He dramatically increased the safety of the procedure by developing several major surgical innovations, which include better ways of controlling bleeding and infection, as well as an innovative system of incrementally removing specific brain parts as units rather than in whole sections.3

Dr. Carson has also contributed to new techniques used for conjoined twin separation7 and accomplished one of the most complex surgical feats in history as the lead surgeon of a team that separated twins joined at the back of the head in a 22-hour-long operation. Known as the doctor who takes cases that no other doctor will risk, Dr. Carson has had outstanding success in spite of this challenge. For example, he has achieved an amazing 80 to 90 percent success rate for difficult-to-treat trigeminal neuralgia.8
    ..................

At 33, he became the youngest major division director in the hospital's history as director of pediatric neurosurgery. He was also a co-director of the Johns Hopkins Craniofacial Center.

Carson specialized in traumatic brain injuries, brain and spinal cord tumors, achondroplasia, neurological and congenital disorders, craniosynostosis, epilepsy, and trigeminal neuralgia.
    ...............
Dr. Carson is a leading research scientist. A "voracious reader of the medical and scientific literature" from his graduate school days, he has long been very interested in scientific research and has been very active in this area for his entire career,5, 6 with over 120 major scientific publications in peer reviewed journals, 38 books and book chapters, and grant awards of almost a million dollars.
    .................

The above is from several sources and I didn't bother to post the sources ... but you can look up this stuff yourself. It's genuine.

Seriously, for you liberals to dismiss a man with this long record of outstanding achievement in his field as a cheater and an affirmative action token reveals incredible ignorance, bias and racism.
