Less,
What! You got a link to that?
The quote that made her famous (see below) pretty much laid claim to a good chunk of everything people make on the basis of public roads, public education, and police and firefighters that are paid by tax dollars.

In fact, it runs along the same theme as Obama's quote, "You didn't build that. Someone else did."

The entire gist of what she believes in runs counter to the traditional idea of the social contract. She believes that government practically OWNS a portion of what you make because the infrastructure and the services that helped you do what you do are owned by the people (a.k.a. government).

Taxes are no longer the fee that the citizens pay for government services, but instead the confiscation of the fruits of your labor, made legal by fiat.
There is nobody in this country who got rich on their own. Nobody. You built a factory out there - good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory... Now look. You built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea - God bless! Keep a hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.
