Ray & thread

Not sure where Ike is. From my perspective I'd bet since he was forced to be away from the net (I assume the mountains of Pakistan don't have internet access) he started to break away from the habit of being on so much. Its a problem I had anyway. Its healthy to get off of the net and SI. More time for family.

You need to factor in the Tom Trader episode. You had many forces at work.

Many on this thread wanted Ike to contribute and actually pick stocks, prices and directions. At the same time while Ike pointed out he protected his positions with options many (myself included) did not buy protective puts, etc (i.e. with me at least I don't have enough knowledge nor am I nimble enough). We'll you know the market has turned and if you've been long you've some serious problems (me included).

While Ike from time to time admitted he was wrong on calls many seemed to miss those posts, ASND, AMAT and INTC come to mind. When Tom questioned Ike's call (on Japan I believe) and wanted him to admit he was wrong Ike became defensive. (I'd have been defensive too, you know the male gene with survival of the fittest makes us defend our turf etc., I won't go into Darwin and the theory of evolution but it is a strong male survival trait).

We'll he and Ike went at it for a while and the thread was for and against. [ Much damage to the thread and it still needs time to recover.] Many came over in support of Tom from Tech Stock options and some here came out in support of Ike. Your usual miscommunication mess in cyber space and both Ike and Tom had good and bad points.

I didn't agree with Tom's approach to the issue but was traveling and could not take the time to enter. Unlike the Kevin incident where I felt Kevin was wrong Tom had some good points. Of course Tom was only an occasional poster (in defense Ike as he did with all of us invited him over). We share ideas to make profits.

Many on the thread wanted Ike's opinion and direction, myself included and we overlooked any wrong calls. I personally don't like to rub someones nose in it when its pretty obvious. Especially if that person is contributing a lot of time to a cause I / we all supported.

I guess many considered us a cult (I believe Lisa from TSO and others took that up). With all our egos I can't see us being a cult and its not worth wasting bandwidth on. At least from my perspective I respected Ikes opinion, he respected mine and many here were sharing information. What we all need to be profitable.

Tom and others did miss some of Ike's admissions as well as Ikes respect and admission about Mohan and the Kahuna thread.

We'll I'm done rambling for a while. Just my short take on the issue and I missed a lot of posts during that time frame.

I can personally attest that Ike does have a penthouse on the Chanse du Elaise (I'm sure my French comrades will kill me for misspelling that one). Top Paris real estate with spectular views. Ike graciously treated me to dinner and sent me to a Liddo show. First class all the way. I believe Ike is a money manager for affulent individuals but everyone here will have to judge for themselves. I believe it.

Guess I wasn't done rambling. Hope to post later this weekend.

Best regards,

Tim

Maybe this thread has become so corrupt now even Ike doesn't want to come back. What a shame.
