Good for you Stan--you must be doing well with the puts

I think the selling should resume through one more cycle -- though I don't know if the close will be altogether weak. Then Monday--after options expiration--we should have a better picture of where things are next headed.

>>You walk 10 miles a day in L.A.- thought that could kill you

The area that I live is quite unique--real rural, yet within the metro LA area, though you would never think that it is LA--yet 15 minutes drive and you get to the urban jungle. The community here consists of a bunch of writers, lawyers, physicians and quite a few people within the entertainment industry--I think that I am the only trader -- and everytime the market takes a down-turn that gets reported in the media, I have neighbours who look at me very sympathetically -- like I must be headed for penury. I tried to explain to one of them that one can be short or long the market and that makes a difference--he did not understand what I was saying and when I explained the concept of shorting -- selling shares that I don't own--he looked at me like I was Ivan Boesky's alter-ego--and expected that the next thing that I would say is something like "greed is good".

I live literally next to a state park -- so I can just walk out of my house to the trails and hike -- more danger from mountain lions than people--but 10 mile hikes are rare nowadays--more like 3-4 miles. A few weeks ago there was a murder -- the first in years--and the entire community reacted in total shock. They seemed to be oblivious to the fact that within LA there are murders everyday.

Anyway, life is good -- and I have much to be grateful for.
