Jack: the risk in ROC is that it is likely to go down in sympathy if the dollar peg is broken in Hong Kong. Taiwanese companies don't have the debt problem, but there is massive asset inflation so asset deflation of Taiwanese companies is highly probable. Of all asian countries, taiwan should be the safest to invest in.

Jack,

I am not sure about it. However, Taiwan fund (TWN) dropped
about 4 and half dollars on the day for 4.60 ex-div on
last Friday.
