Hey, if my assumptions are amusing then I've done my job.... I prefer people to be smiling and laughing rather than grimacing and shooting... (I know I took your quote and completely changed it, but isn't it better that way...) California is running out of water because of climate change. We're going to see more and more chaotic weather conditions with climate change. Tonight I was watching the news with my wife and they were talking about all the rain and tornadoes from Texas up to Minnesota and I told my wife that this weather has actually taken Texas OUT of drought status for the first time in 3 years. Texas needed that rain and Oklahoma needed it. Back in the late 20's and most of the 30's that part of the country went through major drought. It was called the dust bowl and rightly so. That dust went all the way to the East coast. It wasn't till the late 40's or early 50's that they discovered there was an aquifer underlying most of that area. Since that time they've been drawing from that aquifer to make farming profitable. All this rain and tornadoes and hail has caused incalcuable destruction but it has also replenished to some extent that aquifer. It's hell on earth right now for those people but it will be good in the long term. The PROBLEM is that we DON'T know what will happen in the future. Global Warming is a BITCH and you don't know how it's going to treat you....
