Mike, my reads are not based on charts alone. Charts do not reflect rates of change in momentum or market sentiments, especially when the herd panics. As an example the fundamentals on the semi equipmakers have not changed, but this Asian mess pushed out the industry growth and rebound another year. So the anticipation for '98 growth that was in stock prices got yanked out and then panic and momentum set in and thrashed the sector completely. Don't ever fight the trend regardless of fundamentals. There is fear in the market now. I posted to Sonki last weekend that I was waiting for the drillers to get thrashed before going long the Fido Select Services fund.
