Quad-K: I respect your postition. And you're probably correct about any so called "purpose" I'm serving here now. I guess I tend to agree with you (that is, "really none" --- right now). I'll most likely be posting less, but I will definitely continue to watch and read and learn.

The "other" tech stocks? OK, no I didn't get out of DELL, nor the others. I'll give you my exact positions on each of them, and also say, I'm sticking with them. Why? Because, well, to me anyway, the're "different" than Novell (the Novell of "now" --- not of yesterday). And as Lawrence says above (and he's sure right IMO when he says:) "there's a lot of old-timers here just waiting to get back in below the low".

Maybe it won't happen, but... like I said, this stock CAN be traded successfully, (*I* sure as hell don't know how to do it <g>)and even if one is long at these levels there is a "chance"....

Anyway,

CPQ - 1000 (pre-split) @ 53.116
ORCL - 1000 @ 23 1/8 (with a OTB GTC for 500 @ 20 1/4)
IBM - 250 @ 104.728
DELL - 500 @ 83.873

(I have MSFT and INTC also and am not (still not) concerned at all about those -- bought, taken profits, etc. and held from long ago)

And they ALL are hold's for me. Why? Because I "believe" in them.

Somehow, I thought Novell would be a player in with these guys after all. I don't know anymore.

Quad, I'm not AV, nor do I want to trash Novell or it's people.

Probably, yeah, I'm just doing it for anyone new coming in to well, sort of go back and read and do just a "little more" homework before they park their hard-earned $$$.

I'll shut up for awhile <smile>. You're right.

Hope you, and your's have great holidays and a prosperous New Year!

Good investing and,

Regards,

Joe...
