I can only speak for myself. I have leveraged my portfolio with margin. As a result, short term fluctuations can be very important.

Nonetheless, I still consider myself a long term fundamental investor. The difference is that I must focus on short-term risk and volatility along with everything else that goes into investing.

Well I don't. Just this time of year when I'm looking to balance some gains for taxes, some of my lots of ADI pop into my computer screen, but I haven't sold any, and won't. In fact, I am contemplating adding while it is 'on sale.'
