Presently it is costing the US Tax Payers four times as much for each passenger on Amtrak than it would if they bought all these Amtrak passengers airline tickets for the same routes. Government at work without the need to earn a profit to stay in business,

Those people would pay Union dues and out of that Union dues paid large portions go as donations to the Dumasrats. The Government may not be able to earn a profit while running a project but the politicians sure can.
