Putting a brick through the windshield of a train

All I have read up to now is that a rock may have hit the side of the train. I have a feeling we will never know what happened. I would guess the Driver must have passed out and when he slumped against the seat his hand or foot pushed the throttle open. Hard to believe he did it on purpose.

i think you misunderstood my comment. i didn't intend to down play the seriousness of the action. what i stated was a very rough neighborhood who have kids hanging around the train yards getting into trouble.

i expect they may even find some of them playing with guns shooting at trains. i doubt terrorism was in play.

i grew up in area were played around the train yards. they used to hop on freight cars that were released by the loco and ride them for a few miles. kids often put money on the rails to pick them up later flat as a pancake. one boy lost his legs under a train when he fell.

it appears these trains have been hit numerous times going through this section of philly. i doubt they policed it.
