It would be nice if that were true. The Earth would be a better place if it were warmer. You are referring to a completely fabricated trend. NOAA admits they tamper and adjust data right on their website. Here's a plot that proves it. They cool the past and warm the present. If the globe is really warming, where's the proof in the lapse rate? Warmers are looking hard, and even after years of torturing the data with an already reached "the conclusion", they still can't find long-term, significant changes in the lapse rate. So, the only proof of man-made global warming is that the global warming signal below is man-made. Q.E.D.
