The NE corridor is and always was way above the other lines in terms of demand.

Excuse me, there are 24 trains between LA and SD each day..........12 each way. Those trains are full.

There are 8 trains between Vancouver and Portland each day. The routes between Chicago and MPLS, Detroit, and St Louis are growing in popularity.

There is some desire for train travel in the country, but not really a need, and not enough desire to actually pay the costs.

CA is building hi speed rail. TX is talking hi speed rail. When they get built, more will get built. You Rs can't stop progress.

And even it makes maybe 5 bucks a passenger.
