I realize you're a green eye shade plain ole country accountant, but you must have some idea of the mountains of data being generated every minute by the medical industry........and you think an old fashioned physician with a pen or pencil can make records that are complete, readable, and reliable for everyone who comes in contact with a patient???? You're out of your fucking mind............only the computer illiterate old time docs are resistant.... I have seen the great changes in the group I go to and it's remarkable. In the past the doc I was seeing shuffled through my paper file looking for pages in his own handwriting which were usually not in chronological order and certainly not searchable by key words like "colonoscopy".. Now they can go directly to the subject being discussed and pull out all the data associated with it in seconds.......... It took about a year for the group to complete the transition but it has been a complete success and no one is talking about a return to the old system........
