That is utterly absurd. People have been swimming and boating in reservoirs for decades. You ever heard of a reservoir being contaminated by boat residue or pee?

Water is processed before it is distributed. And tested for contamination.

Yes, processing really helps with the removal of gasoline. Are you sure they are testing?
