Syd and all:

Well, the indefatigable and resource-unlimited dipsters came in about 1115 EST and have pushed the spoos up about 20 points since that time. Any words of consolation for us bears? Hopes for any DEC puts are fizzling like a match tossed into a puddle. Any comments or suggestions, anyone?

Jack

Syd, sorry for the delayed reply, I was on the road most of Friday and thus missed the party. Tommaso was right and wrong, he was right in pointing to a 100 point drop on the Dow, but i can guess that it was not boring.

I still think that Monday will depend a lot on the Nikkei, it is getting close to the critical 14,000 again, but I also think that the prime minister will try and talk it up if it drops much on Sunday night. Basically, I think that the market will be firmer in the next 2 to four weeks.
